Author Guidelines
IJRDO – Journal of Language, Gender and Literature Studies welcomes original scholarly manuscripts in language, literature, gender studies, cultural studies, and related disciplines. Submissions should offer a clear academic contribution and be relevant to the journal's scope.
Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy, appropriate attribution, and compliance with ethical research and publication practices.
Before Submission
Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:
- The work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
- The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
- All sources, quotations, and borrowed material are properly cited.
- Permission has been obtained for copyrighted material where required.
- All listed authors have approved the final manuscript.
- The manuscript follows the journal's submission and ethical requirements.
Manuscript Preparation
- Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.docx) format unless another format has been approved.
- Use clear, formal academic English.
- Provide a concise abstract and relevant keywords.
- Organize the manuscript with suitable headings and a logical structure appropriate to the article type.
- Include the title, author names, institutional affiliations, corresponding author's email, and ORCID where available.
- Number pages consecutively and label tables, figures, and other supporting material clearly.
Citation and Reference Style
Authors must use a consistent academic citation style appropriate to the manuscript and the journal's published requirements. All in-text citations must correspond to entries in the reference list. Include DOI links where available.
Authors should verify the accuracy of names, publication dates, article titles, journal titles, volume and issue numbers, page ranges, and DOI information.
Publication Ethics
Authors must maintain academic integrity throughout the research and publication process. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, fabricated or falsified information, and improper authorship are not acceptable. Any relevant conflicts of interest should be disclosed, and ethical approval should be obtained where applicable.
Submitted manuscripts may be screened for similarity and assessed for compliance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
Peer Review Process
Submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment for relevance, completeness, and suitability. Manuscripts considered suitable may proceed to double-blind peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.
Editorial decisions take into account originality, academic quality, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope. A submission may be accepted, returned for revision, or rejected following editorial evaluation.
